  • Will Tinitell work in my country?

Tinitell is a mobile phone that works on 2G networks around the world, except in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and North Korea (where there are no 2G networks currently). Please check with your preferred carrier that you have 2G coverage in your area.

  • What if there is no 2G coverage in my country?

Then, unfortunately, Tinitell will not be able to work properly. You will still be able to call if your operator supports GSM communication. However you will not be able to see your Tinitell's location.

If your country does not have an operator that supports neither GSM or 2G, you might want to wait before buying a Tinitell. We are constantly improving our product and the next version might very well be able to run on 3G, 4G and LTE networks.

  • Can I call Tinitell from anywhere?

Tinitell works like any other mobile phone. Whenever Tinitell has cell coverage, voice credit and battery power, it’ll be able to make and receive phone calls. Tinitell can make and receive calls to any telephone number saved in its memory through the Tinitell app.

Remember to turn on roaming for the Tinitell SIM card before travelling abroad :)

  • We are travelling abroad. Does Tinitell work in roaming?

As long as the roaming option is activated and there is enough credit on the Tinitell's SIM Card, Tinitell works in any country in the world, where there is 2G coverage. Find out more details about Tinitell's network compatibility here.

Please note that Tinitell needs data credit in order to update its location. As roaming might be expensive, especially data, a valid option for certain countries is to get a prepay local SIM Card for the Tinitell.

We have tested a number of operators to make sure that Tinitell will work fine in different countries, so please follow this reference list of recommended operators.

  • Does Tinitell work on 3G/4G/LTE?

Tinitell does not work on 3G/4G/LTE. Tinitell is supported only by 2G networks, due to its 2G chipset. The reasons why we chose a 2G chipset instead of a 3G/4G/LTE one are two: size and battery life.

Tinitell is one of the smallest wearable mobile phone for kids on the market and also one with the best battery life span. Tinitell is only able to do this thanks to its extremely small and battery saving 2G chipset. 3G, 4G or LTE chipset would not allow us to reach such a small size and battery performance.
